2009 STOMP OUT LUPUS NOW Walk & Health Fair

The 2009 STOMP OUT LUPUS NOW Walk & Health Fair is the major awareness event for Lupus Hawai`i. The walk is one lap around Kapiolani Park, approximately 1.8 miles. Registration and check-in will start at 4:30 PM. The walk begins at 5:30 PM, because many of our lupus patients are photosensitive and cannot be out in the sun. Along with the walk, we have a health fair and live entertainment. Through this event we strive to raise public awareness about lupus, and the effect that it has on our friends, families, and our general community. Lupus affects people of color (Asians, Native Hawaiians, Pacific Islanders, African-Americans, Hispanics, Latinos, Native Americans, etc.) disproportionately, so the disease affects us greatly here in Hawai`i. Please join us as we spread awareness about lupus!

Event Location:

We will meet at the stage area of the Ward Warehouse and walk through the 3 Ward Centers!
